Yellow leaves are your plant talking — the trick is reading which message it’s sending.
First, check the soil. Soggy soil plus yellowing lower leaves almost always means over-watering. Let it dry out fully before the next drink.
Second, check the light. Pale, evenly-yellow leaves often mean too little light — move the plant somewhere brighter.
Third, check age. A single old leaf at the base going yellow while new growth looks great is completely normal — just snip it off and move on.
